Our Therapeutic Behaviour Management in Care Settings training is designed to equip care professionals with the skills to safely and effectively respond to challenging behaviour in real-world care environments.
This course focuses on understanding the underlying drivers of behaviour, including trauma, emotional dysregulation and unmet needs and applying structured, therapeutic strategies to manage situations as they arise. Participants will learn how to recognise early warning signs, assess risk, and respond in a way that prevents escalation and maintains safety for both staff and individuals.
The training goes beyond theory, providing clear frameworks and practical techniques for managing behaviours such as aggression, conflict, withdrawal, and boundary testing. Emphasis is placed on maintaining control of situations without relying on reactive or restrictive responses, instead using consistent, therapeutic approaches to guide behaviour and support regulation.
Through scenario-based learning and real-life case examples, participants will develop the confidence to manage high-pressure situations, make informed decisions in the moment, and contribute to a more stable and consistent care environment.
Suitable for support workers, residential staff, and managers, this training supports safer services, improved behavioural outcomes, and a more confident, skilled workforce.
